Minutes before the 1966 World Cup Final Gerry Cranham was the only photographer to get up close to the teams on the Wembley pitch. "I think all the others were scared of losing their place by the goal" Cranham told us.

30th July 1966 - England v West Germany - Wembley - London

Tense moments just before the 1966 World Cup Final as most players face the front except for England goalkeeper Gordon Banks, who looks towards the camera.

Banks was also the odd man out for wearing Puma boots, with every other player in adidas footwear.
